Culture and Sports Town Centre in Pyskowice is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 9 pm

Culture and Sports Town Centre was established in 1978. In 2005 a modern Sports Hall came into being and since then it has been called Culture and Sports Town Centre. The complex also cosists of historic Town Hall with Town Museum and "PODcień" Gallery inside.

The institution is preoccupied with upbringing, education and promotion of culture and sport. Its culture-oriented programme shapes art and sports attitudes. The staff of MOKiS create excellent conditions for the development of Amateur Artistic Movement which enables children, young people as well as adults to improve their interests and passions and realize their artistic dreams. Members of AAM participate in numerous competitions, county, country and international festivals, take first places and win prestigious awards.

The charges of the Centre can be proud of being world-, vice-world champions and vice-champions of Poland. The teams take first places in modern and break dance festivals.

As a part of cultural education the Centre organizes monthly concerts - Little Jazz Academy and Friday theatre meetings. It closely cooperates with schools, kindergartens and the rehabilitation day care centre, organizing performances, Short Theatrical Forms Review and Inter-Kindergarten Competitions. It also supports maths, orthography, Silesian dialect and Polish language contests. During school holidays summer play centres for children and young people are organized.

The Centre also organizes local events which attract lots of viewers each year. Legends of Pyskowice, Harvest Festival and Dybuk belong to the most spectacular events prepared by MOKiS.

As a part of "CULTURAL EVENT" series, performers proud of their excellent stage output are invited to Pyskowice.
